Tonight we put the Superbowl on "pause" and headed to the Hollywood Hills for a sunset hike. The timing was perfect. The sun was still casting its shadow onto our path, and just as we hit the top, the sun set over the Pacific. This was a fairly easy hike for us. We kept asking each other, "Why haven't we done this before?" and planned to make the hike a return outing.
A few important factors can make or break a hiking date:
*PLUS: Give fair warning so your date knows what to wear. No one wants to spend hours getting ready, arrive in a cute outfit, only to learn they'll be spending the next couple hours walking a dirt path.
*MINUS: Come prepared. If you plan to hike around sunset, bring a flashlight just in case it gets dark before heading back.
*BONUS POINTS: Pack some drinks or snacks for a picnic along the way.
